A bit late but here is the current banlist. Here are some of my thoughts.
- It's about time Chaos Sorcerer was unlimited, Chaos decks haven't been doing well for a long time now.
- Six samurai aren't likely to make a comeback with 3 Shi-En, they need Gateway of the Six if they are to have a chance of doing that.
- Spellbook of Fate will make not make prophecy a big power in the current meta.
- Geargiagear could of came back a little while ago, I like Geargia and am hoping they're viable again.
- Semi limiting Cir won't do much to Burning Abyss but when combined with the limiting of Graff, it decreases quite a bit of power
- Qliphort are completely dead with the limiting of Scout and the complete banning of Towers, but tbh they were already inconsistent and Towers getting banned was a bit overkill.
- Nekroz lost quite a bit of their rank 4 power and a bit of search power in the from of their monsters e.g Brionac and the limiting of Reinforcements of the Army.
- I'm not entirely sure why Ritual beast were hit, they didn't seem to be doing much this meta.
- Shaddoll have lost Construct and only have 1 El Shaddoll Fusion, which neutered them quite a bit.
One thing I am quite surprised about is the lack of hits against Tellarknights (they won the worlds, in a format where Reinforcements of the army was limited). So of apart from ROTA they are un-hit. Also Norden and instant fusion went un-hit as well, which is still problematic.
